Obviously through the years, the card production, the printing process and the processing of the residual products have improved. And as a result of this, the cards we are using today are more environmental friendly.
CardImpulz has a number of environmentally friendlier alternatives for PVC. These materials are available for a small additional cost, and just like the standard cards without a minimum amount of purchase.
PLA (Corn Cards)
PLA stands for Poly Lactic Acid, or Bio cards. They are cards extracted from corn or starch, making them an excellent environmentally friendly alternative for the standard PVC cards. The PLA cards are 100% bio degradable, and produce no toxin when disposed. CardImpulz can offer you all the accessories like Magnetic stripes, signature panels, hotstamp etc for PLA cards.
In the United States PLA cards are a huge hit, and large environmentally conscious companies or political partiess use PLA for their membership or gift cards. CardImpulz is one of the first card suppliers in China to offer this material and have been able to offer this product against affordable prices.
PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) is a good alternative for the standard PVC cards. These cards have a long life span (4 to 5 years) and are less harmful on the environment.
PETG (Polyethylene tereftalate glycol) is an even better alternative for PVC cards. These cards have an average life span of about 6 to 7 years en are even les harm full for the environment as the standard PET cards.
CardImpulz is also able to provide other environmentally friendlier cards, like for example cards made with recycled PVC.
